https://www.journals.gemilangcendekia.or.id/index.php/jpasd/article/view/9

This study was motivated by the increasing interest of students in e-sport activities, which may potentially influence their physical fitness. In the context of physical education, it is important to understand whether participation in e-sports affects students’ physical fitness levels. The purpose of this study was to compare the physical fitness levels of students who actively engage in e-sports and those who do not participate in e-sports at Kemasan Krian Elementary School. This study employed a quantitative method with a comparative research design. The sample consisted of 48 students from Kemasan Krian Elementary School, selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected using the Indonesian Student Physical Fitness Test (Tes Kebugaran Siswa Indonesia/TKSI), which consists of five subtests: the child ball test, the tok-tok ball test, the move-the-ball test, the 8 × 10 meter shuttle run, and the 600 meter run. In addition, an e-sport activity questionnaire was administered to categorize participants into the respective groups. Data were analyzed using an independent samples t-test with the assistance of IBM SPSS Statistics 25 software. The results indicated that there was no significant difference in physical fitness levels between students who actively engaged in e-sports and those who did not (p-value = 0.92 > 0.05), indicating that e-sport activities did not directly affect students’ physical fitness levels. The result of this study are expected to serve as a consideration for physical education teachers in developing adaptive learning approaches that accommodate students’ digital interests, as well as a reference for future researchers to examine other factors, such as sleep patterns, nutritional intake, and body mass index, which may influence students’ physical fitness levels.
Agam Dinar Alfansyah DinarKolektus Oky Ristanto

2026-04-082026-04-0811The Influence of Physical Education Teachers’ Competence in Sports Disciplines and Students’ Interest on Sports Achievment of State Junior High School in Dlanggu District
https://www.journals.gemilangcendekia.or.id/index.php/jpasd/article/view/10

The low level of sport achievement among public junior high school students in Dlanggu subdistrict compared to other regions in Mojokerto indicates problems in the quality of physical education learning, particulary related to Physical eduaction teachers’ competence in specific sports disciplines and students’ interest in physical education. This study aims to analyze the effect of physical eduaction teachers’ sport-discipline competence and students’ interest on students’ sport achievement. This research employed a quantitative ex post facto design with a sample of 51 high-achieving students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires and achievement documentation and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results showed that teacher’ sport-disciplines competence significantly influenced sport achievement (t=2.741; p=0.009), and students’ interest also had a significantly effect (t=3.215; p=0.002). Simultaneously, both variables significantly affected sports achievement (F=18.764; p=0.007; R²=0.188). The results indicate that physical education teachers’ sport-disciplines competences and students’ interest have a significant effect in students’ sport achievement, both partially and simultaneously. These findings conclude that improving and developing the quality of teacher’ sport-disciplines competence, as well as increasing students’ interest in physical education learning, play an important role in enhacing students’ sports achievement.
Nur Ilham Saifulloh YusufSri Wicahyani

2026-05-242026-05-2411The Effect Of Drilling Methods on Basic Mini-Volleyball Skills Among Extracurricular Participants At Kwadungan Kediri Elementary School
https://www.journals.gemilangcendekia.or.id/index.php/jpasd/article/view/11

This study aims to determine the effect of the drilling method on the underhand passing skills of mini volleyball extracurricular participants at Kwadungan Kediri Elementary School. The background of this study is the low level of underhand passing skills among participants, characterized by difficulties in movement coordination, ball contact accuracy, and target accuracy. This research employed a quasi-experimental approach with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The population comprised all mini volleyball extracurricular participants in grades 3–6 at Kwadungan Kediri Elementary School, totaling 65 students. A sample of 20 participants was selected using the purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through performance tests of underhand passing skills administered before and after treatment. Data analysis included descriptive analysis, Shapiro-Wilk normality test, N-Gain test, and paired sample t-test with a significance level of ? = 0.05. The results indicate that: (1) There is a significant effect of the drilling method on underhand passing skills, evidenced by a paired sample t-test result showing a p-value < 0.05; (2) The magnitude of the effect falls into the medium category, with an N-Gain value of 0.4098 or approximately 40.98%. It is concluded that the drilling method is effective in improving underhand passing skills of mini volleyball extracurricular participants at Kwadungan Kediri Elementary School.
Amalia Hamida Surya PutriTaufiq Hidayat
